Santer appointed to SPIV

West Midlands MEP Mike Nattrass says the EU wants to give the keys to the burglar following an announcement that former ex-EU Commission boss Jacques Santer is to head up SPIV (Special Purpose Investment Vehicle).
The former Luxembourg Prime Minister has been appointed to lead SPIV, set up to bolster the Eurozone’s bailout fund, despite the mass resignation of the Santer Commission (along with Mr Santer himself) in 1999.
Commenting on the move this week, UKIP MEP Mike Nattrass, said: “Do we need yet more flawed advice from the makers of the deeply flawed Euro? The title "SPIV" may well be appropriate.
“This SPIV is now charged with rescuing the Euro from collapse – you just could not make it up!
“You would have expected Jacques (the lad) Santer to want a quiet life following the events of 1999 and that any subsequent Treaty would have had a "Santer Clause" to restrain him!
“The EU is the new Mad Hatter’s and Spivs' tea party. It is not a cash Wonderland, which is what those who join it wish to believe, together with Alice.
“It is time to leave the EU and manage our own affairs in Westminster,” he added.
